I suddenly had the inspiration to share to the world what are the things that I am super grateful and thankful for. It's my simple and humble way of showing the people what God has been providing me and thank Him for giving me these things.
So, What are 5 things that I am currently thankful for?
1. Passing all my subjects last semester.
Yes! For the first time in my college life I passed all my subjects including Anatomy and Sociology! :) Of course I did it by faith in God and by consistently praying. Since the summer of 2013 I have been believing God for a breakthrough in my academics and indeed He is faithful with His promises. He told me if I wanted to make my dreams come true, if I wanted to get what I want, first I must never stop running until I finish the race. To run like an amateur athlete never look back on the past, just enjoy the present and wait for the future.
P.S (The pictures on the right side served as my inspiration. I used them as my phone's wallpaper :D)
2. Nutrition & Dietetics Lecture and Laboratory
I was really expecting that I'll be flunking this subject (expecting grades below the sea level) but when I saw my midterm grades I was dumb struck and my jaw dropped (literally). I got 69 for Nutri Lec and 76 for Nutri Lab. I know it is not a grade that a student should be boasting to people but if you're studying at my school 75 is already a lot specially if you're taking hard core subjects. 69 is not a passing grade but still I am happy because I think I can manage to pull this grade up.
3. Fashion
Whoever invented this word I am really thankful to him/her. This branch of art (I consider fashion as an art) enhanced my creative skills (I didn't know I have one until I started planning my ootds) and resourcefulness. I am also thankful to my favorite fashion bloggers Ms. Camille Co (Camille Tries To Blog), Ms. Kryz Uy (Thirstythought), and Ms. Vern Eciso and Ms. Verniece Enciso (A blog by Vern and Verniece Enciso). They were the ones who inspired me to be fashionable, their daily lives has had me aspiring to be like them. It's like I am watching Gossip Girl live minus the boyfriend issues and Queen B dramas. :)
4. Circle of Friends (Inspirations)
I never really had a big circle of close friends when I was in high school. So I am really thankful for the set of persons God has given me when I entered College. Firstly, The Three Musketeers. The name was based on the novel of Alexandre Dumas. The name was given to us because whenever people whom we go to church with see us at school corridors, they always think we are inseparable. There is always the three of us just facing the hardships and fun things the world has to offer, together with worshiping and obeying our creator. Secondly, SWAG Girls. This is my idea through the help of facebook of course. While I was browsing I came across a page named SWAG meaning "Super Walang Arteng Ganda". So I decided to use it to name our group of 5. Not until Jaru found a new meaning for SWAG which is "Someone Who Adores God". I thought that's much better considering the tagalog one has a bit of jejemon touch in it. Then a couple of months had pass and Rhea found another possible meaning which is "She Wants A Gentleman". Till now we call ourselves SWAG but it doesn't have an official meaning. :) Thirdly, Kulit Bulilit. A combination of SWAG and ADNA (Ang Dami Nilang Alam) group. ADNA is composed of 2 (how do I describe them) men who were somehow the Big Brothers of our group. Well, the 1st one is acting like our big brother (Helen's Boyfriend) while the second one is kind of our boss (little bossing). The name Kulit Bulilit was given by Ahia's mother. She said that this name will tell people how fun our group is.
So what 'ya think? Do we look like fun gals and guys?
5. Church Leaders and Dangwa Consortium Campus Missionary
These girls are the persons in my life that I am indebted to. They were the ones who supported me, backed me up, and help me to stand up again whenever I fall. They helped me mature with my walk with God, taught me half of the things I know about leadership and discipled me to be a great leader as well. Ate Keith (Mother Earth) my 121 Leader and former Campus Missionary of Dangwa, Ate Dindi was my Deep Bench Leader and currently my VG and Mentoring leader. Ate Honey (Lola) my "problem solver" leader. She is the person who helped me a lot when it comes to my family problems. Ate Roselle (Little Creature) my former VG leader and she was the one who managed CGHC Lifebox inside the school.
To my lovely ates I am forever grateful that God introduced you to me. You really did a great job in making my spiritual walk with God the best experience that I could never imagine. THANK YOU.
Well, that's just about it except I left someone out on number 4. A guy I'll hide under the name of #41. He was the inspiration behind passing Anatomy and Sociology and aiming for grades 80 and above. Maybe I'll get to thank him someday when the right time comes. For now, he is just and will stay as an inspiration until I am ready, until God says I'm ready. I don't know if he is going to be my Adam but I am really thankful that I was able to befriend him and serve as one of my inspirations to excel in everything that I wanted to do.
